Treatments for thinning hair
For mild to moderate thinning or shedding, Rio Glow Aesthetics & Wellness offers three in-office treatments for the scalp. Tathiana Braga Green, RN, plans which one suits you, or how to combine them, at a free 45-minute consultation.
NouvaDerm Hair Support Mode
The NouvaDerm 1927 nm thulium laser has a scalp setting. A typical program is five in-office treatments over three to six months, often paired with DE|RIVE, a topical serum applied straight after each treatment and at home between visits.
PRP scalp injections
Platelet-rich plasma is drawn from your own blood, concentrated, and injected into the scalp. It can be combined with NouvaDerm or microneedling treatments.
Scarlet RF on the scalp
Scarlet RF microneedling can also treat the scalp. A typical plan is five sessions spaced over three to six months, with DE|RIVE serum at home between treatments.
The Hair Restoration Program
A six-month program designed with Tathiana: 12 NouvaDerm Hair Support sessions (weekly for the first 8 weeks, then monthly), a DE|RIVE exosome scalp treatment at 6 of those sessions, a 30-day DE|RIVE take-home serum every month, and monthly scalp photos with a progress review. It is $599 a month for 6 months, or $3,294 paid in full. A PRP add-on adds three Cellenis PRP scalp sessions for $249 a month. Afterwards, Hair Maintenance is $299 a month.
Who it suits
These treatments are for mild to moderate thinning or shedding and for people who want to improve scalp health without surgery. Sudden, patchy or heavy hair loss should be checked by a physician first, because thyroid problems, low iron, some medications and other conditions can cause it.
What to expect
Hair grows slowly, so any change shows gradually, over three to six months. Results vary from person to person. Tathiana will tell you at your consultation what is realistic for you.

No. Rio Glow no longer offers laser hair removal. For hair, the focus is on growth: NouvaDerm Hair Support Mode, PRP scalp injections and Scarlet RF on the scalp.
How many sessions will I need?
A typical NouvaDerm or Scarlet RF scalp program is five sessions over three to six months. Your plan is set at your consultation.
Can I combine PRP with NouvaDerm?
Yes. PRP is often combined with NouvaDerm or microneedling treatments. Tathiana will explain how she would sequence them for you.
